Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions govern the design, production and installation of joinery by JOINERY OUTFITTERS (‘JO’). These terms and conditions comprise the agreement between JO and the Customer who has signed the quotation. The customer understands that by signing the quotation, they are bound by these terms and conditions.

a. All drawings, plans, designs, 3D renders, concepts, specifications, and related documentation created by JO remain the sole property of JO at all times.
b. The Client must not: reproduce, share, or distribute the Company’s drawings or designs; provide them to another contractor, cabinetmaker, builder, or designer; use them to obtain alternative quotes or to complete the project elsewhere.
c. The customer must check and be satisfied with all details of the job as contained in the plans, quotation, colour schedule and fixture schedule.
d. Once the customer signs the plans, quotation and colour schedule, they are agreeing that the details contained in those documents are correct.

a. All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date the quote is provided to the customer.
b. The quotation will confirm all details of the works included. There are some items that will not be included (e.g. painting, plumbing, electrical). These other trades will need to be engaged by the customer.

a. The agreement to supply the Goods and services comes into effect when the Customer signs the quotation. However, goods will not enter production until the deposit has been paid.
b. For projects under $10,000 a deposit of 50% is required to be paid before production. A final payment of 50% will be payable upon completion of installation.
c. For projects over $10,000 a payment schedule will be provided in your project contract.
d. A late payment fee of 2% per month will be added to the outstanding balance where your payment is more than 7 days late.
e. The customer shall not be entitled to set off against, or deduct from the price, any sums owed or claimed to be owed to the Customer by Joinery Outfitters, nor to withhold payment of any invoice because part of that invoice is in dispute.

a. The customer understands that once the documentation has been signed and their deposit has been paid, the project enters production.
b. If a selected product is unavailable or there is going to be a delay in production due to a supply issue; the customer will have the opportunity to select another product or wait for the original product. If the customer chooses a more expensive product, they will need to pay the difference. Similarly, if they choose a less expensive product, they will be entitled to a credit.
c. Lead times are estimates only and may vary due to material availability, supplier delays or other unforeseen circumstances. While JO will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed timelines, the customer cannot cancel on the basis of delay.
d. The customer acknowledged that samples are indicative only. Natural materials may have variations in colour, grain and texture.

a. Any changes requested to the design or materials of the job, after the quote has been accepted constitutes a Variation.
b. The variation will not be confirmed until the customer accepts the the variation invoice.
c. For jobs under $10,000, the Variation invoice price will be added to the total contract price. A revised deposit invoice will be sent to you and payment will be required within 7 days. If payment is not received, the variation will not enter production.
d. For jobs over $10,000, an amended payment schedule including the Variation invoice price will be provided to you once the Variation has been accepted.

a. The quotation provided by JO will only include specified hardware (hinges, runners & shelf pins).
b. JO will not source or provide appliances, tap wear or handles.
c. Where applicable the openings for appliances will be standard sizes (e.g. dishwasher, fridge cavity, oven, microwave).
d. A fixture schedule specifying the sizes of the openings will be provided to the customer with their quotation.
e. Where JO need the sizes of appliances confirmed before production (i.e. where sizes of appliances can vary), the fixture schedule will provide the selection deadline (the date that the specific item details need to be provided to JO). The fixture schedule will also include the information to be provided by the Customer.
f. If the customer fails to provide the information by the selection deadline, production may not be able to proceed the customer will be responsible for any delays in production.
g. Some items will need to be on site for installation. The fixture schedule will confirm which items need to be onsite for installation.
h. If specified appliances are not on site for installation, the client understands that this may delay progress of installation.
i. In all circumstances, handles are to be supplied by the customer, and will need to be available for installation. In some circumstances and at the discretion of JO, a further attendance fee of $250 inc. GST may apply.The attendance fee is at the discretion of JO.

a. The customer must ensure that JO has clear and free access to the work site at all times to enable them to undertake delivery and installation of the works.
b. JO will not be liable for any loss or damage to the site unless the damage is due to the negligence of JO.
c. The customer will take care not to damage any joinery that has been delivered but not yet installed. The customer understands that replacement of any damaged items will be at their cost.
d. JO will manufacture and install in accordance with the relevant Australian standards and Victorian Building guidelines (where applicable).
e. Unless specified, service such as plumbing, electrical, plastering, tiling and painting are not included. The customer will need to arrange any other trades required to complete the works.
f. If the site is not ready on the agreed installation date, additional charges for rescheduling and/or storage will apply.

a. All Deposits are non-refundable.
b. If the Customer wishes to cancel the project, this will need to be confirmed in writing to JO.
c. Orders cancelled within 14 days of the installation date will be subject to payment in full.

a. Joinery outfitters provides a manufacturers warranty on the joinery items for defects in workmanship for 12 months from the installation date.
b. Our suppliers may offer a longer warranty on their components. If the customer has any issues with a component supplied by JO after the 12 month warranty period, JO will provide details of the supplier.
c. Warranty does not cover: normal wear and tear; water damage, misuse or improper cleaning; damage caused by other trades; natural variations in timber, stone or other materials.
d. Once installed the customer will be required to check the installation for any visual defects.
e. For all other defects, the Customer shall notify JO within 7 days of installation of any alleged defects, shortage or non-compliance issue.
f. The Customer shall afford JO the opportunity to inspect the defect within a reasonable time and an opportunity to remedy any defect.
g. JO will remedy any goods that we agree are defective at no further cost to the Customer.
h. If the Customer does not raise an issue with JO within 7 days from installation, it is presumed that the work is free from any defects or damage.

a. The customer agrees that Joinery Outfitters will be able to utilise images of the goods designed, manufactured and installed by them in advertising and marketing materials.
b. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
c. Joinery Outfitters aims to resolve any disputes raised by the customer in a prompt and fair manner. If the dispute cannot be resolved, both parties agree that the dispute will be mediated before pursuing legal action.
d. Ownership of the goods passes to the client upon installation.
e. JO is not liable for delays caused by third parties, damages caused by other trades, pre-existing structural issues.
f. JO’s liability is limited to the cost of the goods and services supplied.
